Art Association of Newfoundland and Labrador - AANL

Welcome

About AANL

The Art Association of Newfoundland and Labrador was founded in 1960 and, this year, will celebrate our 50th Anniversary. There will be a four day show at the Arts and Culture Centre, from October 27-31, 2010. Stay tuned for more information on this show.

The AANL generally provides a forum for the artists to meet their fellow artists and to widen their horizons.  With its mixture of seasoned professionals and part-time artists it provides a useful bridge between the professional art world and the general public.

Mission

To stimulate interest in and enjoyment of exhibitions of works of art both local and imported, in the main centers of Newfoundland and to arrange, sponsor or assist in arranging a minimum of two exhibitions a year.  The AANL Board sees for itself an increasing role in the development of new artists and the sponsoring of art awareness projects within the Province.

Membership
The AANL has a number of trained artists and art teachers in its membership but the majority are part-timers who love to paint and to improve the quality and range of their work. Over the fifty years of its existence many of the better known artists of the province have been members or associates of the AANL. Membership of the AANL is open to anyone who is interested in art and its promotion. For further information please visit the membership page or email info@aanl.ca.
