Linda Coles

Dr. Linda Coles is a visual artist from St. John’s . She was born in “ Grammies House” in Savage Cove,  the subject of one  of her paintings. Many of her paintings are based on experiences which have a connection to the people, the landscape, and the way of life in her province. The cultural and natural environments provide experiences which become starting points for many of her creative endeavours. Linda’s affinity with the past, in NL, is a constant driving force and part of a deeper commitment to preserving , for future generations, images that no longer exist outside the quiet of the imagination. Her medium of choice is acrylics but she has also done a number of watercolour paintings.
