JoAnne Stone

JoAnne Stone is a visual artist who was born and lived her entire life in Conception Bay South. She knew as a young girl that she viewed the world through a different lens. At the age of forty-six, she took her first painting class and discovered why this was so. She understood that the artistic mind looks beyond the ordinary and mundane to find inherent beauty. JoAnne has received instruction from local, national and international artists. She continues to further her knowledge and skill at every opportunity. Her mediums of choice are watercolour, acrylic, oil and pen and ink. To her, the most important aspect of any medium is the use of light. Her paintings are a search for "her light".
