Description: This historic and colorful fishing stage, poised on the water of Quidi Vidi Gut and backed by a high cliff face, burned down just before midnight on July 29, 2025. Another to the right, with part of its wharf just visible in this image, also burned down. Although firefighters responded promptly, they had no access to these structures by road, and no ability to fight the fire from the water.
